İSDEMİR celebrates its 53rd foundation anniversary

İsdemir, one of the leading names in the iron and steel industry, celebrates its 53rd anniversary this year.

While the company provides basic input to many sectors with the products produced with the latest technology in its production lines, it also carries out activities to reduce its carbon footprint in line with the principle of environmentally friendly production.

İsdemir, one of the OYAK Mining Metallurgy companies, is one of the global steel powers and provides basic input to many sectors such as pipe manufacturing, shipbuilding, construction and manufacturing with the products it produces in its state-of-the-art production lines.

According to the statements made, İsdemir has continued its investments uninterruptedly since the day it was founded and has also carried out activities to reduce its carbon footprint in line with the principle of 'environmentally friendly production'. The company has a production capacity of approximately 5.8 million tonnes/year of liquid steel, 3.5 million tonnes/year of flat products, 0.6 million tonnes/year of coil and 2.5 million tonnes/year of billet final products. In addition to billet, coil, hot roll and slab production, by-products such as coke, oxygen, nitrogen, argon, ammonium sulphate, granulated slag, tar and benzol are also provided.

İsdemir had to suspend production after the earthquake, the epicentre of which was Kahramanmaraş on 6 February, but it reactivated its production lines in a short time and resumed its activities at full capacity.
