Iran’s Iron and Steel exports increased by 13% between March and July

According to data from the Iranian Steel Producers Association (ISPA), Iran’s iron and steel exports increased by 13% compared to the same period last year, rising by approximately 469,000 tons between March 21 and July 21, 2025.

Export revenues also increased by 7%, surpassing $2.3 billion. Exports of semi-finished products such as billet and bloom fell by 8% in the first three months of the year but recorded a 15% increase over the four-month period.

Iran has increased its iron and steel exports especially to markets in Asia and Africa. In this context, raw material exports also rose significantly, with iron ore concentrate exports up 78% compared to the same period last year.

Experts note that the latest ISPA data indicate that despite the overall increase in exports, the rise in raw material exports is being closely monitored with regard to domestic production.
