In April this year, India's iron ore exports, including pellets, increased by 25% y-o-y to 3.83 million tons. Pellet exports alone fell by 55% to 0.63 million tons in this period.
India's largest pellet importer was China
Pellet exports from India to China stood at 0.49mt, to Malaysia at 0.09mt and to South Korea at 0.05mt.
Vedanta was the largest exporter of iron ore from India
Major iron ore exporters from India included Vedanta with 0.55mt, Rungta Sons with 0.47mt, Euro Pratik Ispat with 0.34mt, Praful Enterprises with 0.23mt, KAI International with 0.18mt, Bagadiya Brothers (0.14mt) and SA Imports and Exports with 0.11mt.
Major pellet exporters in India included KIOCL with 0.16mt, Rungta Mines with 0.15mt, JSW Techno Projects Management with 0.11mt and AMNS India with 0.11mt.
