According to the statement made by Ministry of Coal, India's coal production increased impressively 16.39% to 607.97 MT in the 2022 April-December period.
State-run Coal India Ltd (CIL) reported coal production of 479.05 MT at the end of 2022, which represents an increase of 15.82% over last year.
The statemant made by Ministry of Coal said that the government has put 141 new blocks of coal up for commercial mining to increase its coal production capacity, and that it is in regular contact with various coal companies in the country and monitoring their production.
Versatile efforts to increase domestic coal production and shipments have gave exceptionally good results.
