BHP Group predicts that the rise in Indian steel production will boost coal.

Increase in India steel production will also affect coal

BHP Group's India unit manager, Vandita Pant, said that increases in the Indian steel industry will also greatly increase the coal trade.

He also explained that about 40 percent of BHP's metallurgical coal, known as coking coal, used by its steel mills goes to India.
