Imports of semi-finished products increased by 10.5% in January-March period in Türkiye

Türkiye's imports of semi-finished products in March 2024 decreased by 2.7% annually and increased by 40.5% on a monthly basis.

SteelRadar compiled data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) and reported that Türkiye's March 2024 imports of semi-finished products decreased by 2.7% yoy to 623,331 tons from 640,397 tons in the same month last year.

Compared to the previous month of February, this figure increased by 40.5%.

Total semi-finished product imports of Türkiye in the January-March 2024 period increased by 10.5% compared to the same period of the previous year, rising from 1 million 471,999 tons to 1 million 625,970 tons.

During this period, the country that Türkiye imported the most semi-finished products was Malaysia with 200,180.5 tons. Malaysia was followed by Russia with 151,915.9 tons, Indonesia with 93,467.6 tons, Algeria with 84,713.2 tons and Saudi Arabia with 54,830.8 tons.
