Peker Holding, which is the flag carrier company of the Turkish real estate sector abroad and which includes Peker GYO, continues to make an impact in Europe. Continuing its activities in Turkey, England, Spain and Germany at full speed, Peker Holding finally shook hands with the German team for the new sports complex building of the football club Fortuna Düsseldorf. Accordingly, a preliminary contract was signed between Peker Holding and Fortuna for a model based on “long-term leasing”. According to the contract, the construction and operation of the complex will be carried out by PekFor 95 GmbH, which was established by Peker Holding specifically for this purpose.
Fortuna Club will remain as the tenant of the sports complex in the project, which was developed according to the concept of long-term rental, which was also widely covered in the German press. Thanks to the complex, which is built on three floors and has a huge area of approximately 6,300 square meters, the areas designed for licensed U23 and U19 players will be gathered under one roof for the first time. All of the offices at two different addresses will be combined in this building and the building will become the center of the sports club management.
Peker Holding Germany General Manager Murat Beyazyüz said, “We are aware that this project is also valuable in terms of encouraging young talents and licensing. The values of family, tradition, diversity, solidarity and transparent communication are as important for Fortuna Düsseldorf as they are for Peker. In this sense, I can say that we have a common approach with Fortuna Düsseldorf Football Club. This project made the vision of the club even more concrete for all segments. As with our previous projects in Düsseldorf, the negotiations with the municipality continue very constructively and based on trust. We look forward to working with the municipality and the club on this project."
Fortuna CEO Thomas Röttgermann emphasized that Peker Holding is a well-known and respected company in Düsseldorf and said, "We have made our club invest in the future. After the draft contracts are completed, the board of directors will present the project to the supervisory board for final approval." Klaus Allofs, Member of the Board of Directors responsible for Fortuna Football and Development, Communication and CSR, also noted that the partnership with Peker Holding will open new paths for them, and said, "This step is a milestone for the sports industry. We are devoted to Peker Holding, especially during the Covid-19 period. Thank you for your approach.” Emphasizing that they also personally support the project, Mayor of Düsseldorf Dr. Stephan Keller said: "It is pleasing that Fortuna Düsseldorf Football Club aims not only to win on the field, but also to have a functioning infrastructure. That's why I support the project and receive the property from the city council. I want them to approve his transfer."
