Turkish steelmakers continue to make slow progress in their scrap purchases in the face of increasing supply. However, US ferrous scrap prices resist to a further decline. A new scrap deal was heard yesterday evening, after Turkey's Romanian origin scrap deal at $310.
The last purchase made by a manufacturer from Izmir was made in the USA. Details of US scrap are stated as HMS 80:20 at $337, Shredded at $352, Bonus scrap at $352.
