UK closed the first quarter of EU steel quotas. In the second quarter of the year, fillings are expected to accelerate.
Status of HRC and CRC at the end of the first quarter
While 63,300/t of CRC total 145,613/t quota was transferred, 41,320/t of the current quota was used. The remaining amount from the CRC quotas was 104,293/t.
For HRC, 183.731/t of 330,515/t quota was transferred and 40,853/t of this amount was used and 289,662/t remained.
The data obtained for the profile group was as follows:
While 164.777/t of the 275.111/t quota opened for Non Alloy and Other Alloy Merchant Bar and Light Sections was transferred, 37.726/t of this amount was used and 237.385/t remained.
2,162/t of the 6,528/t quota opened for Stainless Bar and Light Sections was transferred and it was recorded that while 2,540/t of the total quota was used, 3,988/t remained.
33,831/t of the 83,235/t quota opened for Hollow Profiles was transferred. 37,483/t of the quota was used. The remaining quota is 45,752/t.
Wire rod quotas expected to gain momentum in the next quarter
While 221.930/t of the 394.480/t quota opened for wire rod (Alloy-Unalloyed) was transferred, 74.192/t of the current quota amount was used. The remaining quota amount was 320,288/t.
While 6.497/t remained from the quota opened for stainless wire rod, the total quota amount was 8.128/t. 4.529/t of this amount was transferred and 1.631/t was used.
Pipe and tube quotas have been slow this quarter
For Seamless Stainless Tubes and Pipes, 5.013/t remained from the 5.131/t quota opened. While 118/t of this amount was used, 3.371/t was transferred.
While 19,200/t quota remained in the Other Welded Pipe, 6.124/t was used from the 25,324/t quota opened and 14,375/t was transferred.
For Large Welded Tubes, 1.656/t was used out of the 14,919/t quota opened, while 9.144/t of this amount was transferred and 13.263/t remained.
Other product groups were as follows;
Of the 56,869/t quota opened for 4A Metallic Coated Sheets, 23,580/t was transferred, 24.920/t was used, and 31.949/t remained.
While 14.947/t was transferred from the 48.235/t quota opened for 4B Metallic Coated Sheets, 36.954/t was used and 11.281/t remained.
From the 80.123/t quota opened for Organic Coated Sheets, 47.289/t was transferred, 7.580/t was used and 72.543/t remained.
While 1.641/t was transferred from the 2.451/t quota opened for Stainless Hot Rolled Quatro Sheet, 6/t was used and 2.445/t remained.
From the 2.421/t quota for Sheet Piling, 1.575/t was transferred and 84/t of this amount was used, while 2.337/t remained.
While 5.884/t was transferred from the 10.694/t quota opened for Railway Materials, 461/t of this amount was used and 10.233/t remained.
Non-Alloy and Other Alloy Cold Finished Bars , 67.810/t remained from the quota of 69.050/t. 45,099/t of this amount was transferred and 1,240/t was used.
