Fortescue, a global leader in the iron ore industry in Australia, has signed a contract with John Holland, one of Australia's leading engineering contractors, for the construction of 143 kilometres of heavy rail in the Eliwana mining area.
This project will connect the new Eliwana railway with the Fortescue Hamersley line and Port Hedland.
Cloudbreak, which is scheduled to start production in December 2020, will reportedly help increase iron ore production at the Christmas Creek, Solomon mining site and start production at the Kings and Firetail mining sites.
