Despite the current weak demand for all long products, which started in the fourth quarter of last year, the company recorded a record turnover of €2.5 billion ($2.7 billion) in 2022. Feralpi had achieved turnover of €1.9 billion in 2021 and €1.2 billion in 2020.
The company is implementing a significant investment plan of around €400 million between 2022 and 2026. The plan prioritises the optimisation and reduction of energy costs, the increased use of renewable energy and the reduction of gas consumption in Italy and at the company's subsidiary in Germany. Feralpi is also considering the creation of a new company to build two photovoltaic plants of 100MW and 90MW in Sardinia and Basilicata respectively.
