Hot rolled coil buyers in the Gulf Cooperation Council signed deals after GCC prices for re-rolling and pipe-making grade cfr were fixed at $625-635/ton for July shipments and $640/t for June shipments.
At the end of last week, HRC sales of pipe making grade (S235JR) from India were set at an average of $637-640/t for June shipments.
Taiwanese grade 2mm+ SAE 1006 was heard to be offered at $635/t for July shipment.
Meanwhile, a trader offered $600/t for June cargoes of 2mm-12mm thick SAE 1006 and 1.8-12mm SS400 grades with silicon control (maximum 0.04%).
Leading Chinese producers reduced their offers for 1.2mm SPHT-1 grade to $660-670/t for June shipment.
