Prices for Evraz North America's carbon, high-strength, low-alloy (HSLA), hot-rolled coil (HRC) normalized sheet, and quenched and tempered products increased by $60/short tonne (st).
On March 13, Cleveland Cliffs, Nucor Steel and SSAB Americas also announced price increases. The Cleveland-Cliffs company set the minimum price for the hot-rolled coil at $1,200/st, while Nucor Steel increased the plate prices at $50/st, and SSAB Americas increased the plate prices at $80/st.
Evraz North America reported the price increase after the price increase reported by the Cleveland-Cliffs company on the morning of March 13.
