European scrap market continues fluctuating pricing

Scrap market in Netherlands volatiles

HMS 1/2 80:20, which started trading at 354 USD in the first week of May, is currently trading stable at 352 USD. This indicates a slight downtrend in the market.

After reaching a high of USD 356 last week, HMS 1/2 80:20 is currently trading at the same level. Sources indicated that although the stable market is unpredictable in the short term, it does not point to a significant uptrend.

Price changes also dominated in other regions

According to SteelRadar data, in the Benelux region, scrap prices for HMS 1/2 80:20 started the second week of May at EUR 318, up by EUR 5 and sources predicting further increases in the region.

In Germany, E40 scrap has stabilized at EUR 368 since the beginning of April, indicating a stable movement.

Meanwhile, E3 scrap in Italy was trading at EUR 353 as of May 6, down by EUR 7. According to sources, the main reason behind the decrease in Italy's scrap market is the various pressures the market is witnessing.
