European flat steel producers had to increase prices. However, insufficient demand from customers caused buyers to resist the increase. Cold roll bid prices were €880-900 (€959-980) per ton EXW and galvanized sheet bid prices for April delivery were €900-930 per ton of EXW.
According to buyers in Northern Europe, the tradable value for CRC is €830-850 per ton EXW. On 18th of January, local cold coil steel from Northern Europe was €830-850 per ton, up from €820-830 per ton.
Although the order rates of steel producers are still in good shape despite the increasing prices, buyers are quite complaining about this situation.
