It was reported that France and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) signed a comprehensive strategic partnership agreement in the field of energy.

In the statement made by the French Ministry of Economy, it was stated that the strategic partnership agreement in the field of energy was signed within the scope of the official visit of UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to Paris.

In the statement, it was stated that the agreement aims to determine the joint investment projects of the two countries in the fields of hydrogen, renewable and nuclear energy, and it was stated that the possibility of creating a joint fund to finance green projects was mentioned in the agreement.

Meanwhile, French President Emmanuel Macron hosted UAE President Al Nahyan at the Elysee Palace and presented his counterpart with the Legion d'Honneur, the country's highest honor.

The UAE signed an agreement to buy 80 Rafale fighter jets from France in December last year for 14 billion euros.
