CIS billet producers were activated as the markets started to move

Russian and CIS billet sellers continue to maintain their billet offering prices for April shipment, with rates ranging between $510 and $515 per ton FOB Black Sea, showing no change from the preceding week. Despite this stability, certain mills have already concluded sales for their April billet allocations, indicating active market participation amidst steady pricing.

On the Turkish import market, billets are available in the range of $515-540/t CFR versus $500- 540/t CFR a week earlier. Taking advantage of the rising cost of scrap and the improving situation in Türkiye, billet suppliers from Ukraine and the CIS countries are trying to raise prices. Last week, export offers for Ukrainian billet in Reni/Izmail/Odesa ports were received in the range of $510-515/t FOB. Billets from Asian countries enter the Turkish market at $530-540/t CFR. At the same time, the target level for Turkish importers remains $520-525/t CFR.
