China's steel prices followed a volatile path in January

In 25 major Chinese cities, the average price for rebar (HRB 400, 20 mm) increased by 0.03% from ten days ago to 3,951.6 yuan/t.

Wire prices (HPB 300, 6.5 mm) fell 0.2% to 4,154.7 yuan/t during the same period. Medium-thickness trade plate prices (Q235, 20 mm) were recorded at 4,095.6 yuan/t, up 0.3% from the previous session.

Hot-rolled plate (Q235, 3 mm) was down 0.1% at 4,089.5 yuan/t. Seamless steel pipe prices increased 0.3% to 4,593.8 yuan/t. Angle steel fell 0.3% to 4,213.2 yuan/t.
