China's steel bar exports increased in May

According to statistics, China's steel bar exports amounted to 1.04 million tonnes in May, up 14.3% m-o-m and 25% y-o-y.

China exported 230,000 tonnes of wire rod and 460,000 tonnes of angle in May, up 4.6% and 9.5% m-o-m and 19% and 30% y-o-y, respectively.

In the first five months of this year, China's steel bar exports increased by 74% y-o-y to nearly 4.6 million tonnes. Wire rod exports amounted to 1.01 million tonnes, up 25% y-o-y, while angle exports amounted to 2.02 million tonnes, up 64% y-o-y.
