Canada initiated end-of-period review for steel from Türkiye and Vietnam

The agency will assess the potential impact of these measures on Canada’s domestic steel industry by considering economic indicators such as import data, production and sales figures, export prices, and subsidy supports. The review will also analyze the scope of potential harm that anti-dumping and countervailing measures may cause to domestic producers, taking into account factors such as employment in the sector, production capacity, and cost structures.

Upon completion of the review, the CBSA will announce its final determination regarding the continuation or reinstatement of anti-dumping or countervailing measures no later than February 6, 2026. If the agency makes a positive determination, the Court will examine in detail the potential harm that ongoing or reinstated measures may inflict on the domestic industry and will release its evaluation no later than July 16, 2026.
