Brazilian Vice President Geraldo José Rodrigues Alckmin Filho announced in February that Brazil had abolished import duties on two types of steel sheets, including steel, aluminum and sheets, two types of aluminum sheets, a portable digital wrist device used to measure blood pressure and pulse, and radar antennas.
Previous import tariffs on these 6 commodities range from 12% to 16%. A zero tariff policy will be applied for products. The policy will be effective until 9th March, 2024.
