Borusan Mannesmann, a leading steel pipe manufacturer in Turkey, said that it has acquired land in Ploiesti for EUR 805,000 to build a new steel pipe plant in Romania. The new plant will mainly focus on fulfilling the demand from the European automotive industry. The production capacity hasn’t been disclosed.
The total investment of this new Ploiesti plant is US$8 million. It will be Borusan Mannesmann’s second investment in Europe, after the previous one in Italy.
