Algerian Qatari Steel earns KIWA certification, expands market horizons

AQS extends heartfelt thanks to its dedicated team and partners for their contributions to this achievement. The company looks forward to expanding its presence in these crucial markets and continuing to deliver top-quality steel products.

Algerian Qatari Steel earns KIWA certification, expands market horizons

Algerian Qatari Steel (AQS) is proud to announce that it has received the prestigious product certification from KIWA GmbH MPA Berlin. This esteemed certification confirms that AQS products meet the stringent standards set by DIN 488-1:2009-8, DIN 488-2:2010-1, DIN 488-6:2009-8, and MVV-PART C 2,1,3,1.

The certificate applies to B500B, 8-40 mm steel rebar, and it will remain valid as long as AQS maintains its production in line with the prescribed requirements.

AQS aims to establish a stronger presence in the Baltic and Scandinavian regions. This certification is a concrete step toward achieving that goal.

AQS boasts a production capacity of 2.5 million metric tonnes of Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) and 2.4 million metric tonnes of crude steel per year. In the long segment, the company produces 1.5 million metric tonnes of rebar and 500,000 metric tonnes of wire rod annually.

Already recognized in some African markets, the UK, and Poland, AQS is determined to become a leading player in the European steel market. The company is actively working to obtain similar certifications for other countries in the region.

This certification not only validates AQS’s commitment to quality but also opens up significant opportunities for expansion in Europe.

The SteelRadar team congratulates the dedicated team and partners who made this achievement possible!
