Alcoa Corp., the largest aluminum producer in the United States, announced its financial results for the third quarter ending on September 30, 2021. During this period, the company recorded total revenue of US$3.109 billion, reflecting a significant increase of 31.5% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. Furthermore, Alcoa achieved a net profit attributable to the company of US$337 million, showcasing a remarkable turnaround from the net loss of US$49 million reported in the third quarter of the prior year. Adjusted net profit for the quarter amounted to US$391 million, representing a noteworthy improvement from the net loss of US$218 million reported in the same period in 2020.
Looking ahead, Alcoa anticipates maintaining a stable aluminum shipment range of 2.9 million to 3 million tons, while alumina shipments are projected to remain unchanged within the range of 14.1 million to 14.2 million tons.
