Hot rolled coil is about $30/ton higher month-on-month, with orders placed until March 7th.
While HRC offer prices have shown a sudden increase in China, according to market representatives, the hot rolled coil market remains strong, and China's HRC export prices continue to increase.
For some traders bidding from Vietnam, HRC is Q1195 from China, which costs $645/ton CFR. At the beginning of April, 1,000-2,000 tons of cargo will be shipped.
Uncoated HRC grade SS400 or SAE1006 increased approximately $30/ton from the previous month. Orders for HRC offer will last until March 7th.
Prices of SAE1006 up to 2mm thick HRC have been quoted at $690/ton CFR for ongoing offers from Vietnam to China.
The import market of SAE1006 HRC seems calm these days. According to market representatives, imported SAE grade 2-2.7 mm thick HRC increased $5 week on week to $680/t CFR Vietnam.
