Global billet exports fell by a quarter

Among the largest billet importers, only Turkey's purchases are expected to increase by 4% compared to last year.

Although China will reduce its imports from 12 million tons by 56% to 5.3 million tons in 2021, China traditionally does not particularly need foreign semi-finished products.

In 2022, Ukraine sharply reduced its billet exports.

Russia will reduce foreign supply by 14.6% compared to the previous year, to 12.8 million tons.
