German crude steel production stood at 2.9 million tonnes in September 2023, up 2.1% from the same month in 2022, up from 2.84 million tonnes the month before.
Over the nine months since the beginning of this year, crude steel production in the country amounted to 27.23 million tons, decreasing by 3.6% compared to the same period last year.
In turn, iron smelting in Germany in September 2023 increased by 1.5% to 1.92 million tons, while in January-September it increased by 0.1% to 18.08 million tons, both comparisons on an annual basis.
Meanwhile, the production of hot-rolled steel in the country in September this year amounted to 2.36 million tons, a decrease of 8.9%, while in the first nine months it was at 23.55 million tons, also a decrease of 5%. , both comparisons are on an annual basis.
