Just after Baosteel's failure to change its November hot rolled coil (HRC) price, Formosa Ha Tinh Steel (FHS) announced that it will maintain its 11 December HRC and wire rod prices for December delivery.
Over the last two months, FHS's orders and shipments have been impacted by the recent severe pandemic. Following the lockout, FHS shipments gradually increased, and many steelmakers have worked hard to resume production since October 1.
Meanwhile, the Chinese government has imposed energy rationing, and steel market prices have remained stable.
