Borrell, who is in Paris, announced that they will impose sanctions on the members of the State Duma, the lower house of the Russian Parliament, those responsible in the "military sector" and 2-3 Russian banks, and they will try to prevent the Russian state from obtaining finance in Europe.

Borrell noted that if Russia invades Ukraine, they will impose other sanctions.

Stating that attacks continue in Donbas and attacks are carried out on power plants and train stations, Borrell stated that the situation in Ukraine is worrying. Explaining that he thinks Russia will not stay with this, Borrell did not answer the question about whether to impose sanctions on Putin.

Putin recognized the rule of pro-Russian separatists in Ukraine
Russian President Putin signed the decree on the recognition of the so-called administration of pro-Russian separatists in eastern Ukraine yesterday.

The lower house of the Russian Parliament, the State Duma, accepted the decision on February 15 to call on Russian President Vladimir Putin to recognize the so-called administrations established by pro-Russian separatists in eastern Ukraine, and sent the decision to the Kremlin.

In eastern Ukraine, pro-Russian separatists formed two so-called governments in Ukraine in 2014, the Donetsk People's Republic and the Luhansk People's Republic, despite the Kiev administration.
