Rebar prices declined in Istanbul and Payas, increased slightly in Izmir, and remained unchanged in Karabük. While producer offer levels were largely maintained, the key development of the day was Kardemir's brief reopening of rebar sales, during which the producer sold a total of 42,000 tons before closing its order book again. In the billet segment, imported billet prices declined by USD 10/ton to USD 500/ton CFR Türkiye. The wire rod market remained largely stable, while producer-specific price increases were observed in the structural steel segment.

Rebar

In the spot market, rebar prices in Istanbul decreased by TRY 100/ton to TRY 32,700/ton, while prices in Payas fell by TRY 1,000/ton to TRY 31,800/ton. In Izmir, prices increased by TRY 100/ton to TRY 31,900/ton, whereas prices in Karabük remained unchanged at TRY 32,700/ton.

Average producer prices

Producer offer levels remained unchanged in the Marmara and Izmir regions, while the average producer offer in the Iskenderun region declined to USD 570/ton FOB.

İçdaş slightly reduced its rebar offers at both its Istanbul and Biga facilities. Kardemir briefly reopened its rebar sales on July 7, selling a total of 42,000 tons before closing its sales book again.

Billet

Imported billet prices fell by USD 10/ton to USD 500/ton CFR Türkiye, reflecting weaker sentiment in the import market. Kardemir kept its billet offers closed, with no changes to its official price levels.

Wire rod

The wire rod market remained largely unchanged. Ege Çelik maintained its offer levels, while İçdaş Biga recorded a slight price decrease. Kardemir continued to keep its wire rod sales closed.

Profile

Price movements in the profile segment varied by producer. In the Istanbul market, most standard products increased by TRY 300/ton, while the HEA/HEB (500) Standard section declined by TRY 3,700/ton. Prices in Izmir remained unchanged, whereas Kardemir increased profile prices by around 3% across most product categories.

Overall, regional downward pressure remained evident in Turkish rebar market, while Kardemir's 42,000-ton sales window was the most notable development of the day. The billet and wire rod segments remained stable, whereas the structural steel market saw selective price increases, particularly from Kardemir.
