According to statistics released by the Chinese Customs, exports of stainless steel from this country in July 2023 amounted to 359.8 thousand tons, an increase of 4.81% compared to the previous month, but a decrease of 13.51% compared to July 2022 .
In turn, Chinese imports of stainless steel in July this year was at 136.8 thousand tons, up 15.87% on a monthly basis, but down 23.32% on an annual basis.
In the seven months since the beginning of the year, Chinese exports of stainless steel decreased by 15.43% to 2.3987 million tons, while its imports decreased by 47.43% to 979.6 thousand tons, both comparisons compared to the same period last year.
