CBAM statement from the Steel Exporters Association! Deadline is January 31

Turkish Steel Exporters Association announced the connections announced by the Ministry of Commerce regarding the Border Carbon Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) transition process initiated by the European Union on October 1, 2023.

The Union's statement said that the "Green Deal" section set up on the YouTube page and the official website of the Ministry of Commerce aims to provide detailed information on CBAM to representatives of the sector. In addition, a dedicated website has been set up to provide access to legal texts, recent developments, guidance documents and training offered by the European Commission.

The first feedback period of CBAM for importers will end on January 31, 2024. The webinar series organized by the European Commission to assess the impact of the CBAM mechanism on carbon-intensive sectors such as cement, iron and steel, aluminum, fertilizers, electricity and hydrogen is proving to be an important resource.
