Breitenfeld Edelstahl AG invests millions

The investment of six million euros also includes related infrastructure such as an annealing furnace or an electrode welding system. A further three million euros are being invested in the bar steel segment via a portal machining centre. Finally, a new hall and a peeling machine were financed with ten million euros.

According to information provided by Breitenfeld Edelstahl AG, the investments are based on good business development: Total sales in the past financial year increased by 33 per cent to 164 million euros. In the ingot casting market segment alone, 113,000 tonnes were delivered to the market, an increase of 26 percent compared to the 2016/2017 business year. In the bar steel segment, over 7,400 tonnes were invoiced, which corresponds to an increase of 80 percent.
