Brazil's iron ore exports rise in August

Brazil's iron ore exports reached 37.5 million tons in August, a 17.5% increase from the previous month and 13% from the year-ago level, according to the Brazil Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (MDIC). This is the highest monthly export since September 2020. In the first eight months, Brazil's iron ore exports reached nearly 239 million tons, an 8.8% increase from the previous year.
