BlueScope Steel ranks 58th among the world’s largest steel producers

The World Steel Association (worldsteel) has released its latest ranking of the world’s largest steel-producing companies based on crude steel production data for 2025. The list highlights annual crude steel output volumes and the corresponding global rankings of major steelmakers.

BlueScope Steel ranks 58th among the world’s largest steel producers

According to the published figures, Australia-based BlueScope Steel ranked 58th among the world’s largest steel producers in 2025, maintaining its presence in the global steel industry.

Worldsteel data showed that BlueScope Steel produced approximately 5 million metric tons of crude steel during 2025. The company continued to strengthen its position in the Asia-Pacific region through its operations in Australia, New Zealand, and other international markets.

With a strong focus on flat steel products, coated steel, and painted steel solutions, BlueScope Steel remains a key supplier to the construction, infrastructure, automotive, and manufacturing sectors. The company’s Port Kembla steelworks in Australia continues to serve as the core of its production activities, while its investments across North America and Asia support its global footprint.

The 2025 worldsteel ranking once again demonstrated the competitive nature of the global steel industry, with BlueScope Steel securing its place among the world’s top 60 steel producers and reinforcing its stable position in the international steel market.
