The event will take place at two locations in Shanghai’s Pudong district: the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center (SWEECC) from November 23-26, 2026, and the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) from November 24-27, 2026.
According to Messe München CEO Stefan Rummel, the expansion represents a major milestone for the exhibition, creating additional space for next-generation construction technologies and innovation-driven solutions.
China Construction Machinery Association Chairman Su Zimeng highlighted the industry's ongoing transition toward intelligent, electrified, green, and international development, emphasizing the role of global trade fairs in driving technological innovation and industry collaboration.
The expansion comes as China's construction machinery sector continues to recover. Industry revenue increased by 10.5% in 2025, while growth reached 8.44% in the first quarter of 2026, according to the China Construction Machinery Association.
Demand for exhibition space has exceeded expectations, with major industry players including Komatsu, LiuGong, and Sunward Intelligent already confirming their participation.
SWEECC will also host the inaugural bauma SHANGHAI Construction Machinery Technology & Innovation Conference on November 23, focusing on emerging technologies, digital solutions, intelligent equipment, and sustainable construction innovations.
To improve accessibility, organizers will introduce a “One Badge, Two Venues” system, allowing visitors to access both exhibition sites with a single pass. Complimentary shuttle services and digital navigation tools will support seamless movement between the two venues.
With its expanded format and growing international participation, bauma SHANGHAI 2026 is set to further strengthen its position as one of the most important meeting points for the global construction machinery industry.
