Swiss Steel Group has stated that it is in discussions with the Italian company Acciaierie Venete regarding the sale of certain production facilities, including Ascometal France's facilities in Hagondange, Moselle, Custines in the Meurthe-et-Moselle region, and Le Marais in the Loire region, as well as the activities and workforce of Ascometal's research center, CREAS.
The transaction is contingent on meeting various requirements, including approval from the relevant regulatory authorities. If the conditions are met, the completion of the agreement is expected in the spring of 2024.
