Aegean Exporters' Associations demand removal of pressure on foreign currency

Jak Eskinazi, Coordinator President of the Aegean Exporters' Associations, stated that in the process following the election results; they expect the government to be formed quickly, steps to be taken to establish the trust of the international community and the agenda to be organized on the economy and exports.

Eskinazi said, "It should be ensured that the exchange rates, which negatively affect the competitiveness of our exporters, gradually return to their real value in a way that will ensure the competitiveness of the exporters. The way for the business world to access credit should be opened. Energy prices should be reduced to levels that will contribute to the competitiveness of Turkish exporters. If these steps are implemented quickly, we can overcome our country's foreign exchange shortage by increasing export and tourism revenues in the second half of 2023."
