Yusco will determine its prices through negotiation in January 2024

Yieh United Steel Corp. initiates negotiated pricing approach for 2024 amidst positive shifts in Asian stainless steel markets.

Yusco will determine its prices through negotiation in January 2024

Yieh United Steel Corp. (Yusco), a prominent stainless steel mill based in Taiwan, has disclosed its decision to pursue a negotiated approach for both domestic and export pricing in January 2024, engaging with customers individually. This marks a departure from the company's practice in May of the current year when prices were not publicly announced.

Despite the lack of official price announcements, it has been reported that Yusco has, in fact, increased domestic prices for 304 products by NT$1,000 per ton, while maintaining the prices of 430 products and the surcharge of 316L products.

Market observers note a positive shift in China's stainless steel market, with a recent halt in the decline and indications of a rebound. Furthermore, Indonesia's Tsingshan has raised its export transaction prices, and there is an observed increase in nickel pig iron prices.
