The Wuppermann Group, headquartered in Germany, has announced the start-up of a new photovoltaic system on the roof of the Wuppermann Staal Nederland B.V. flat steel production facility in the Netherlands with an investment of EUR 1.4 million.
The planned annual energy production of more than 1,700 kW accounts for more than 3% of the company's total energy consumption.
The commissioning of the photovoltaic plant at the site in the Netherlands is another important milestone on the company's path to becoming a CO2-neutral steel processor from 2025.
