Wuppermann Austria commissioned new roll forming line

The new roll forming line with automatic packaging line has enabled a wider range of sizes and therefore a wider range of products. WA will now be able to produce larger cross-sections and a wider range of welded profiles with complex geometries. It can also produce open profiles with wider profile widths and heights.

The new line can process 100-600 mm wide pre-material. Profiles can be produced in strip thicknesses of 1.5-4 mm, profile widths of 25-300 mm, profile heights of 20-140 mm and lengths of up to 13.5 meters.

With zinc coating up to 1,300 g/m² (Z1300), zinc-magnesium coating up to 1,000 g/m² (ZM1000) and an optional galvanized edge, these products meet the highest requirements for corrosion protection, the company says. It can also process steels with higher tensile strengths of up to 1,000 Mpa.
