Welspun Corp receives record USD 1.8 billion pipe order

Order to be executed in fiscal years 2028 and 2029

Welspun Corp has secured a USD 1.8 billion pipe supply order to be executed from its US manufacturing facility. According to the company, the approximate value of the order is equivalent to one-third of Welspun Corp’s market capitalization. The record order is scheduled to be executed during fiscal years 2028 and 2029. Following the order, the company’s global order book will reach an all-time high of USD 4.4 billion.

US facility focuses on energy projects

Welspun Corp’s US manufacturing facility in Arkansas holds an important position in the company’s growth plans in North America. The facility is expected to meet demand from oil and natural gas, liquefied natural gas (LNG) export and hydrogen pipeline projects.

Company management said during a meeting to discuss first-quarter results that demand in the US remained strong. In addition to LNG export infrastructure, the growing energy requirements of AI-powered data centers were also identified among the key drivers of pipe demand in the US.
