According to the latest report from the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI), US crude steel production for the week ending April 19 was recorded at 1,682 thousand tons, representing a decrease of 0.8% compared to the production of 1,695 thousand tons in the same week in 2024.
Production decreased by 0.4% compared to the slightly higher production volume of 1,689 thousand tons recorded in the previous week, April 12, 2025.
In the period to April 19, 2025, year-to-date US crude steel production totaled 25,895 thousand tons. This represented a decrease of 1.3% compared to the production volume of 26,229 thousand tons recorded in the same period of 2024.
