voestalpine and RESONAC establish supply partnership

RESONAC Graphite Business Unit announced that it has been selected as the preferred main supplier of graphite electrodes for voestalpine’s transition from blast furnace (BF) technology to electric arc furnace (EAF) systems.

According to an official statement on RESONAC Graphite Business Unit’s LinkedIn account, this partnership is critically important for the new EAF facilities planned to begin operation by 2027 at voestalpine’s Linz and Donawitz sites in Austria.

The agreement includes not only the supply of graphite electrodes but also AMI automation services. This move demonstrates both companies’ shared commitment to innovation and efficiency. The partnership is regarded as a clear indication of their determination to lead the industry toward a more sustainable and innovative future. It also reinforces the long-term vision held by both companies.
