Vietnam's steel exports & imports decrease in February

According to statistics, Vietnam’s steel exports totaled 470,000 tons in February this year falling by 39% compared to the previous month.

During the period, Vietnam’s steel imports also had a month-on-month drop of 12% to 8,900 tons.

The decline in both exports and imports was mainly due to slower trading activities during the Lunar New Year holiday. Steel mills took more focus on the domestic market and import prices hiked as well.
