According to the data shared by the VSA (Vietnam Steel Association), Vietnam finished steel production was recorded as 2 million tons in June, decreased by 9 percent month on month and by 16 percent year-on-year.
Steel product sales also decreased to 2.15 million tons, down 6 percent on a monthly basis and 4 percent on an annual basis.
Looking at the first six months of 2023, Vietnamese steel production decreased by 20 percent year-on-year to 13 million tons. Steel product sales also decreased by 17 percent compared to 2022 and amounted to 12 million tons.
