The Ministry reported that in December, applications for steel import permits to the USA amounted to 2 million 182 thousand tons, reflecting a 1.9% increase from the 2 million 141 thousand net tons permit amount in November.
In the whole of 2022, total and finished steel import permits were 30 million 822 thousand tons and 25 million 245 thousand tons with a decrease of 2.0% and an increase of 10.9%, respectively.
