U.S. scrap exports increased in February

In February 2023, the US's scrap exports increased by 7.8% compared to January and by 0.6% compared to the same period in February 2022, reaching a total of approximately 1.37 million tons.

Exports to Turkey ranked first

The export to Turkey was 382,600 tons, the export to Mexico was 208,000 tons, the export to Vietnam was 201,500 tons, and the export to Taiwan was 13,200 tons.

The export value increased on a monthly basis

In this period, the export value increased by 23.3% m-o-m and decreased by 5.6% y-o-y to USD 611.3 million.
