According to the final Census Bureau data from the US Department of Commerce, the US imported approximately 71,000 tons of line pipes in December last year, increased by 47% month on month and increased by 7.5% year-on-year.
Among them, imports from South Korea had the largest share at roughly 36,000 tons, increased by 288.3 percent month on month and decreased by 12.8 percent year on year. Other important sources of imports include Mexico (about 8,400 tons), India (about 8,300 tons) and Canada (about 6,800 tons).
Import value in this period amounted to approximately US$ 141 million, increased by 65.1% month on month and 41% year-on-year.
