It is reported that domestic crude steel production in the US was 1 million 602 thousand net tons for the week ending January 14, with a capacity utilization rate of 71.7%.
As of the same week of last year, the production was 1 million 735 thousand tons and the capacity utilization rate was 79.8%. Production in the last week shows a 7.7% decrease compared to a year ago.
Production for the week ending on January 14 increased by 0.4% compared to the previous week when the capacity utilization rate was 71.3% and production was 1 million 595 thousand tons.
Along with the week ending on January 14, annual total production decreased by 7.9% compared to the same period of the previous year and reached to 3 million 197 thousand tons. Capacity utilization rate also decreased from 79.8% to 71.5%.
